If your important date is going to a garden or involves a good deal of walking, common sense would suggest that you should not wear stilettos for this particular event. Another thing to consider is how long you can stand the heels, and for what amount of time you will be walking.

The trick to walking well in heels is to hold yourself as straight as possible. These are not your Keds, so no running or jumping, just focus on a tight walk with small steps and be careful that you don’t lose your balance.

Look for as many opportunities to sit that you can find, as you want to give your feet an ample amount of time to rest. If you are going to a club or on any lengthy outings, be sure that you have a pair of flats inside of your purse. You never know when those may come in handy, and you’ll be glad you brought them. After all, no one in their right mind is going to enjoy walking everywhere without shoes!
